Why does the media(major news networks) always give lots of coverage to everything Apple does?
New products are released all the time, but when Apple releases something new, it’s all over the media!

THEY ARE DESPERATE TO KEEP UP WITH microsoft
Apple is a major player in the American consumerist culture. Does anyone NEED an iPod? Or an iPhone? Not really.
It’s just a continual promotion of materialism to keep the public happy with their toys. Without them, we’d have to face real issues such as national debt, environmental degradation, peak oil, etc.
Because they pay big bucks for PR.
Because Apple is an industry leader and an innovator. Microsoft is a copier and so is Dell. Name one other company that innovates like Apple does for that industry.
Plus they always come up with cool stuff!
Because they are a huge company that employs many thousands of Americans.
