Bad Company 2’s hitboxes and how to fix them
Apparently doesn’t work anymore, it was fun while it lasted. UPDATE #3 Yay, patch delayed. It’ll be out soon enough. UPDATE #2 DICE is reverting the hitbox change they made last patch breaking the knife in the new May 10th-12th patch coming here. This should work again. UPDATE #1 This newest patch broke hitboxes even more.. I think it broke hitboxes completely. This probably might not even work anymore. I have to shoot behind enemies again. The knife doesn’t work and DICE is apparently aware of it. I doubt this fix actually fixes it now until DICE gets off their ass and does it themself. This new patch added some nice features but really fucked the game up for a lot of people. It’s working fine for myself but most people are complaining of lag and issues now. As for the old description..: Are you tired of shooting people in Bad Company 2 but they don’t take any damage? So was I. One poster on Gamefaqs (spank_thru101) posted a possible solution to the problem so I decided to test it out. Upon further investigation, this was also something you could edit in previous battlefield games. This only has a really noticable effect if you have a faster internet connection and regularily see below 100 server pings in the list. Basically, add these two lines; SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation 0.0450000 SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 45 to your gamesettings.ini and settings.ini file in the BFBC2 folder. I need a little help. There is the line “ServerFilterSettings=yes,yes,no,yes,no,na,na” in GameSetting.ini between “IntoPlayed=1″ and “[GstPersistence]”
Where should I place the line you gave me?

@SatanFlaskanOchJag Right, because the fact that there is blood spurting out of the character model doesn’t mean anything at all.
The bullets obviously hit the character model. It’s not actually doing anything though because the hitbox is lagging behind it. That’s why he’s having the other guy move, to prove this point.

@010010110001101 You either aren’t looking in the right place or have hidden files and folders set to hidden.
@010010110001101 look in “my documents” for “BFBC2″ folder. they should be there.

@Stilusers You can put them somewhere else in the text file, just as long as they’re in the same general area.
@Daml661 Also apparently the lines of text I said to put it in aren’t in the same place anymore, just make sure they’re between those two.
This worked great on the previous patch, but the game removes the settings from Gamesettings.ini every time I start up the game
Doesn’t work anymore.BC2 creates a totally new file and overwrites the old one. :/ …
@Keyzerz I see…damn EA.Instead of implementing a dynamic latency compensation they actually prevent players from fixing THEIR shit…holy fish.Last game I bought from these idiots -.-.

hey so your saying that if you have lower ping like 35 n u can kill some1 with 100 ping easily right?
one more thing when the video started you hit him and he was bleeding but didnt die was that your internet or his………. and later on you kill him with 1 shot is that the ping or they internet
