This was really great! I’m brand new to photography so specific tips like this really help. I’m curious. Does this advice apply when taking an action photo? For instance, I’d like to take photos at gymnastics competitions where I’d like to blur the audience and judges and obviously emphasize the artistry.

  2. cameralabs

@EmilyScully Yes, the same technique applies!

Gordon, this is a very helpful video for beginners. In 6 minutes, you explain what some photography professors can’t explain in a time frame of 6 week. Great work.

Im a beginner photographer and these videos are very helpful, but when taking these photos are you using the automatic focus on your camera or setting it to manual focus

  22. cameralabs

@xreedyxx I use AF but lock the focus on the subject first.
