Minecraft Tutorial – How to Survive your First Night
Tutorial for Minecraft Alpha (where bad things come out from the dark and try to eat you). It is intended to help new players learn how to survive their first night in the Minecraft Alpha universe. The tutorial demonstrates what to do in the first few minutes of the game (while the sun is shining!) in order to increase your avatar’s chances of surviving the coming night. @mdkkfc4000 It’s a pig saddle, actually. Horses don’t exist in Minecraft. But go ahead and slap that puppy down on a little pink snorter and you’re off to the races!
@mdkkfc4000 Ooh, lucky! That’s a dungeon. Nice find.
How much does this game cost?
@paulsoaresjr he dies and you say lucky

u whistle everytime u make the s sound
@Recon9143 Go to minecraft(dot)net You need to create an account to buy it. It costs $14.38 (Canadian) And yes, it works on Mac, my friend plays it on his Macbook all the time. =P
@Priam66 Must have been Spiders and Creepers, those two kinda of mobs (enemies) don’t burn like Zombies and Skeletons do when the sun shines on them.
Spiders wont attack you unless you attack them first when it’s day, watch out for the creepers though.. feckin little green nukes.. >_>
Put the difficulty on Peaceful if you don’t wanna deal with mobs until you’re used to the game. =P
@simpsfutur Do YOU think minecraft is one of the first games to use the right mouse button? >_>
Cuz you’d be VERY wrong in thinking so..
@ratsrule247 If you buy the game today (Alpha) then you will get ALL versions of the game that will come out in the future, including beta and the final game. As well, you will get some extensions Notch plans to create for MineCraft after he is done the game.
@SilverJigProductions Thanks ^_^ I just bought the game and already addicted to it O_o
I never heard Notch was planning to bring out extensions :3
@K1LLAKEENAN You could use the side scroll part of your touchpad if you have one.. I do that when I don’t have my mouse with me. But if you don’t have a scroll part on your touchpad, or find that difficult, the item boxes correspond to the numbers 1-9 on your keyboard. So click the number for whatever item you want to switch to it. =P
@SizzleMaWhizzle Not really, it’s pretty quick to learn, although it might take a while before you can remember all the crafting “recipes” without having to check online sometimes. =P
Check out some tutorials like this one on Youtube if you are having trouble finding stuff or just surviving. =P
Awesome tutorial. Once you’re more used to the game it’s really easy to get a lot more done in the first night.. I usually start my mine.. cuz once you’re in a mine day and night don’t matter. =P You need enough torches though of course.
Sorry for leaving to many comments/replies by the way, I just love answering peoples questions, haha. xD
@ratsrule247 Haha, no problem. =]
I know right.. it’s the most addicting game ever! xD
And yeah, don’t know exactly what he means by extensions but I bet it’ll be awesome! =D
woah, you sound like my friend Paul (not same last name), and you have his name! O_O!
@paulsoaresjr umm ive played this all day today and i havent seen a single enemy yet even if i just walk in the woods in the dark and nothing pops up, just cows, pigs, chickens and sheeps
you really emphasize the S sound dont you?
@bentheweirdo In options check the difficulty. You might have it on peaceful.
